National Youth Organizer hopeful of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye aka Nana B, has said he’s always prayed that renowned pollster Ben Ephson’s polls on any elections he (Nana B) contests in should always disfavour him.

According to Nana B, any poll conducted by Ben Ephson which will favour him will be a bad omen for his chances of winning that particular election.

Ben Ephson who’s also the Managing Editor for the Daily Dispatch Newspaper has said Henry Nana B, an aspirant in the upcoming NPP National Youth Organiser race may not have a chance against his main contender, Dominic Eduah, as a result of the party’s decision not expanding the electoral college.

“He’s a likeable aspirant and has massive appeal on social media and all that but I tell you the effect of the electoral college will hit him hard. He’ll be disfavoured by the NPP’s decision not to open up the electoral college,” he told host Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM.

But reacting to Ephson’s comments, Nana stated that he’s not surprised by the former’s so-called research which he described as not credible, adding that he has never been in the

“I always pray that if Ben Ephson should come out with a poll that I’m involved in, that poll should never favour me. I’ve never liked his polls conducted over the years, so when I woke up today and I heard in the news that he’s predicted that I may lose the election, I said thank you God for answering my prayers, because it is a bad omen for me.

“In the run up to the 2016 elections, I was one of the fiercest critics of Ben Ephson’s poll and so I knew that he’ll never conduct a poll to favour me now that I’m contesting for the National Youth Organizer position. During the 2016 elections when it was obvious that majority of Ghanaians were yearning for Akufo Addo as President and he was sure to win by a wide margin, Ben Ephson’s poll said Akufo Addo would garner 38% of votes as against ex President Mahama’s 54% but at the end of the election, Mahama managed a paltry 44%, so I’ve never taken Ben Ephson’s polls seriously, it has lost credibility.”

He accused Ben Ephson of doing the bidding of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) by coming out with such discredited polls because the party fears he’ll be a thorn in their flesh if he should win the election.
