With flooding being an impediment, questions are being asked as regards how effectively the canker can be solved and whether any government would have the political will to tackle the issue drastically.

Concerns have also been raised about how the attitudes of citizens are a contributing factor.

While everyone admits there is a challenge, the bone of contention, however, has been who to take the blame – leadership for failing to apply the rules and instil discipline in citizens or citizens for refusing to change their attitudes.

For some celebrities like KKD and Lydia Forson, they wouldn’t blame citizens anymore; the government, they say, has failed woefully.
