Some Christians and their attitude towards humankind have always been a question on the lips of many. The Christian community has come under heavy criticism, with many labelling some of them as hypocritical and only church goers who do not emulate the Christ they profess to follow.

Following the coronavirus pandemic that has engulfed the world and brought it to its knees, many countries have started easing the restrictions placed on its citizens. Ghana is among such countries that have eased their restrictions.

In President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s tenth address to the nation, restrictions placed on churches were eased paving way for them to assemble to worship, adhering to social distancing, wearing masks, using hand sanitizers among other guidelines, to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Actress Yvonne Nelson, who doesn’t seem too happy about the easing of the restriction, has come hard at Christians in Ghana, saying they are only happy to resume church not because of worshiping God but for their own selfish interest.

She called them hypocrites who only go to church to hide their numerous sins, show off, to look for partners, to gossip about other people rather than worship God, which should be the sole reason why they go to church in the first place.

In a series of tweets sighted by GhanaWeb, Yvonne Nelson who says she was up to something said; “Some people go to church to show off, some, to look for partners, some to gossip, some to make money by sharing flyers, some to socialize and very few to worship….”

“I hear all the marriage materials are in the church! Men who beat their wives and cheat on them, pastors who select their chics in the congregation…….dont worry, I'm up to something.”

It is unclear what she has up her sleeve, but the world awaits the next revelation from the actress.
