The Minister of Education Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh has revealed government plans to construct six boarding Senior High schools across the country.
According to him, official sod cutting will take place at Abomosu in the Atiwa West District of Eastern Region by next month, as the first community to benefit from the ultra-modern SHS in the country.
Addressing a durbar at Abomosu on Sunday 20th October 2019, he told the gathering that, two contractors have been awarded the contracts saying both will be present during the sod-cutting ceremony.
He was invited by the MP for Atiwa West who doubles as the Minister for Roads and Highways Hon Amoako Attah to explain details behind government plans for the people in the area.
According to the Minister of Education, the project will be ready before 2020 general election to serve students across the nation.
The project includes Dining Hall, Administration Block, Dormitory, Teachers Bungalow, classrooms, an assembly hall, and all useful materials to make complete a school building.
