Ghanaian highlife musician, Bisa Kdei, has refuted claims that his once-promising career is on a downward spiral, stressing that he is currently one of the most sought-after musicians in the country.
According to him, despite what people say about his relevancy, he is in high demand. He said people’s opinions about him do not worry him because he is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
Speaking to Abeiku Santana, on Okay FM, the “Mansa” hitmaker said that writing highlife song takes time and getting a hit is sometimes due to luck so people shouldn’t tag him as an unsuccessful artist because he is not getting back-to-back hits like he used to.
Bisa who is still promoting his new song with Fameye "Meka" said, “Everybody is entitled to their opinions but for me, I’ve not slowed down at all. People are still booking me for shows and I’m about to start an African Tour".
"I’m still in high demand, and yes, I’m still one of the Pillars of Highlife Music in Ghana".
Bisa Kdei is credited with hits songs like, ‘Mansa’, ‘Brother Brother’, ‘Baba’, ‘Odo Carpenter’, ‘Apai’.
