Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser for the main opposition New Patriotic Party is accusing President John Dramani Mahama of buying votes in the Brong Ahafo Region using funds from liquidated DKM Micro Finance.
Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DCis also accusing the president of diverting funds from the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) to lure residents of the region with the aim of influencing their political decisions.
Abronye DC discloses, the Brong Ahafo Region in the last days leading to the December 7 presidential and parliamentary polls have witnessed an unprecedented inflow of politically motivated freebies with the aim of convincing voters.
He was speaking on Abusua 96.5 FM’s Abusua Nkomo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah.
“Mahama is using DKM monies and MASLCO to buy votes here in the region and we are fully alert watching them,” he alleged.
“The people of Brong Ahafo do not care how much money Mahama sinks into vote buying, what they know is that the economy is not good and they cannot afford basic needs,” he observes.
“Kwame if you doubt what am saying send a team to the region and see what’s happening here…so we are not bothered and we are sure of victory on December 7.”
