A 45-year-old Kennedy Kwaku Adu, a farmer at Twifu Mampong in the Twifu Atimokwa District has inflicted cutlass wounds on his biological mother for being behind his inability to get his wife pregnant.
Information gathered by Kasapa FM news Yaw Boagyan indicates that the suspect and Wife Gifty Anku have been married for quite a long time without conceiving a baby.
This has taken away the peace in the family house where the suspect, victim, wife, and the suspect’s younger brother reside.
The suspect is said to have earlier threatened to behead his mother.
He reportedly came home drunk on Tuesday night and started abusing his mother and in the process, inflicted cutlass wounds on her.
Currently, the victim is battling for her life at the Twifu Praso government hospital.
According to the Twifo Praso District Police Commander, DSP, Addai Boateng, the suspect has also been admitted at Twifo Praso government hospital as he got injured when his younger brother tried to intervene during the brawl.
Police have commenced investigations into the matter.
