My award was ordained by God – Kumawood actor Yaw Dabo

Kumawood Actor Yaw Dabo says the award he won at the just ended Ghana movie Awards 2016 was ordained by God after he lost at the last years Kumawood Akoben Awards.

Speaking at the Ghana Movie Awards after he picked the award for discovery of the year, the comic actor said ” Every human being should always say positive things upon their lives. Last year i lost at the Kumawood Akoben awards I was very hurt but i told myself what i didn’t get (Awards) in Kumasi i will come to Accra for it which is bigger than what they give in Kumasi.”

He praised the likes the Kofi Asamoah and his Kofas media for helping him build his brand.

He was born Samuel Nana Yaw Dabo aka Adwen Kessie (big brain). He is 16 years but has been speculated to be over 26 years old.

Dabo claims he had always wanted to act but found it difficult penetrating the movie industry. It was actor Kwaku Manu who introduced him into the Kumawood circles.

He has featured in over 50 movies but his most popular movies till date are “Megye Wo Girl” ,“Our Judges”, Amakye and Dede.
