The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has outdoored its campaign team for the 2016 general election which many political watchers believe is solid and very capable of securing victory for the party, however, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament Dadekotopon, Nii Amasa Namoale thinks the team is constituted by political spent forces.

According to him, the only person who is ‘fearful’ in the team, one whose tactic may work some ‘magic’ for the NPP is former General Secretary and MP for Okere constituency Dan Botwe, who also happens to be the campaign strategist.

A former Chairman of party, Peter Mac Manu, is the Manager of the campaign team to spearhead Nana Akufo-Addo’s third-time bid to be President of Ghana.

The rest of the team include: Dan Botwe – Campaign Strategist, Boakye Agyarko – Policy Adviser, John Boadu – National Organiser and Head of Operations Directorate, assisted by Otiko Afisa Djaba (National Women’s Organiser); Sammy Awuku (National Youth Organiser); and Kamal-Deen Abdulai (National Nasara Coordinator).

The rest are Ken Ofori-Atta – Director of Fundraising Committee, assisted by Kwabena Abankwa Yeboah, National Treasurer, Victor Newman – Director of Research, Edward Boateng – Director of Campaign Administration and Logistics, Martin Adjei Mensah-Korsah – Director of Elections Joe Anokye – Technology Director and Nana Akomea – Director of Communications

But speaking on Peace FM on Tuesday, Hon. Nii Amasa Namoale stated that the NDC is not the least perturbed by the team raised by the NPP.

He further chided the NPP for not being gender sensitive in the constitution of the larger campaign team as there are few women.

“The NPP did not respect Ghanaian women at all, out of the many men; there are only four women in the larger campaign team. Even in opposition, the party is not valuing the contribution of its women for them to be given leadership positions, how much more when they come to power” Hon Namoale noted.
