Many have wondered how the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) managed to predict victory for its flagbearer barely 8 hours after the close of poll when even officials of the Electoral commission did not have the full complement of the needed data.
The two leading parties, National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the NPP have declared themselves winners of the 2016 elections although results are still trickling in from across the 275 Constituencies.
However, the EC Chair, Charlotte Osei, says the Commission will not be compelled to declare results of the Wednesday elections when the laid down procedures have not been exhausted.
According to NPP's Director of IT, Joe Anokye, the collation was a methodology set up by the party for calculating results of this year's election.
Addressing how the figures were acquired, Mr Anokye revealed that the 28992 party agents in various constituencies across the country sent pictures of pink sheet results after the ballots have been counted to help in adding up the figures.
The results generated so far showed that the flagbearer of the party, Akufo-Addo was leading by 53.51% as against President Mahama's 44.93%.
