Nii Amassah Namole, the Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dadekotopon in the Greater Accra Region has failed in his quest to retain his seat in this year’s general elections after polling some 38,504 votes.
He was beaten by Mr Vincent Sowah Odotei, former Chief Executive Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak football club who garnered 40,126 votes.
Namoale becomes part of the list of NDC MPs who will not be returning to parliament from next year.
Similarly, Foreign Affairs Minister, Hanna Tetteh has lost the Awutu Senya seat to George Andah, whereas Murtala Mohammed, deputy minister of trade also lost the Nanton seat.
