Minister of Monitoring and Evaluation, Dr Anthony Akoto Osei, has asked the Minority to back down on their demand for the release of the full list of presidential staffers saying the list will be released soon.
According to him, he is monitoring affairs at the presidency and “when it is due, it will be brought here [parliament]. It is not due yet. We are within so take your time,” he told parliament on Friday, February 2 in response to demands by Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu for him to make the disclosure to the House.
The Minority’s demand is in accordance with Presidential Office Act, 1993, Act 463, section 11 which mandates the president to provide the list to Parliament.
North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, raised the matter and was seconded by Mr Iddrisu.
