One of Ghana’s creative gospel musicians, Prophet Eric Amponsah, who has won the hearts of many music lovers in the country, yesterday urged gospel musicians, the government and the Ghanaian public to come together and fight the increasing corruption in the country.
He expressed disappointment at the spate of corruption and other challenges that plagued the country throughout last year.
The gospel musician and prophet, who joined the gospel music industry over a decade ago, has performed on a number of platforms promoting Christ through music.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with BEATWAVES, Prophet Eric Amponsah, who is also the leader and founder of the Hope Generation Ministry located at Weija in Accra, noted that since every living soul loves music, he believes that gospel music can also be used as a tool to educate the people about the effects of corruption.
The man of God emphasised that this year God was ready to work with everybody to move Christianity and the country forward and also create better opportunities for every Ghanaian.
He said it was time for the gospel industry and the church in Ghana to expect great things from God since He was ready to support living souls.
He said though the New Year would pose challenges, every Ghanaian must make conscious efforts to overcome them, adding that Christians should continually depend on God for direction.
“Be ready to give off and allow God to give you what would benefit and make life pleasing and more assuring in the New Year,” he admonished.
He said though temptations, trials, deprivation and other uncomfortable situations could befall them, Christians need to stand firm and continually trust in God.
He said 2015 would be a year of success for all those who relied on God. He charged Christians to live peacefully with their neighbours and live lives worthy of emulation.
