Shatta Wale pays President Nana Addo a visit

Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has finally visited the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo after the president invited him to the Flagstaff House in a tweet.

The President on October 17, 2017 tweeted a good will message to Shatta Wale amid his birthday celebrations and asked the dancehall artist to pay him a visit.

“Happy birthday @shattawalegh! You for come visit me for Flagstaff House o!” the President tweeted.

The ‘Ayoo’ singer in an appreciative response tweeted, "Thank you your Excellency. I will follow the necessary procedures and pay a visit soon Mr. President. I hope my land cruiser will be ready"

The Shatta Movement leader later composed a new song ‘Rado Rado’ in appreciation for the president’s invitation to the Flagstaff House.

When the President asked how he (Shatta Wale) celebrated his birthday he said “In my little small way, we tried to organise a few stuff. We donated some books to some schools, I asked Kasapreko for storm energy drink which we took to Nima market”.

“We had a convoy on Friday where we went to town just to celebrate the people who can’t make it to my main birthday party, after that, on Saturday we had a very wonderful party” he added.

The President later encouraged him to continue with his book campaign because it is a solid thing to do.

“All through the campaign, you were right there in our face,” he said.

President Akufo-Addo later recounted how his vice Dr. Bawumia came unto the campaign platform to talk about Kakai, one of Shatta Wale’s hit song.

In reply to the Shatta Wale’s land cruiser request, the President said: “I don’t have a land cruiser but I have a small momentum from the Presidency.”

Shatta Wale also showed a key that the Mayor of Worcester presented to him to the President for blessings.

“You know when I went to the States I met the Mayor of Worcester, and they gave me this key. I said to myself that any day I get the opportunity to meet you, I will just present it to you for you to bless it for me because it is so much for my career” he said.

The CEO of EIB Network Bola Ray who recently presented a G-Wagon to Shatta Wale on his birthday was present at the meeting.
