Shoe shine boy dies after failing to feed his juju snake

The desire to turn a millionaire overnight has cut short the life of a twenty – five year old cobbler (shoe - shine boy), Kwasi Asiedu. Asiedu, who was said to have gone for juju money (sikaduro) form a powerful fetish priest, at Nkawkaw Amanfrom, Nana Mensal Akakpo, could not provide the requirement of his money vomiting snake, which caused its death that of the shoe shine boy himself.

Confirming the incident to the press which was corroborated by Asiedu before he died, Nana Akakpo said, Asiedu approached him somewhere last year for juju money. After performing rites the priest gave Asiedu a certain box and put a rope inside it.

On reaching home, it turned into a snake which the priest told Asiedu to make sure he feeds with cow meat every three days without fail. According to him, the snake started vomiting some American dollars which instantly enhanced Asiedu’s status in society and among his friends to the surprise of all.

Recently, Asiedu traveled outside Nkawkaw and spent three weeks without feeding the snake. He returned to find the snake dead after vomiting a large number of American dollars.

Asiedu was said to have informed Nana Akakpo of the incident and was asked to perform some rituals to save his life. He however refused to perform the rituals and after three weeks, he was taken ill and died. Before his death, Asiedu was said to have confessed to his close family members of the cause of his ailment.

Meanwhile, the family of Asiedu, whose body has been deposited at a hospital at Nkawkaw have contacted the priest on how best the remains could be buried without any further calamity on the family.
