Cape Coast, Sept. 1, GNA - Vodafone Ghana, a telecommunications company, main sponsors of this year's Oguaa Fetu Afahye, on Tuesday presented a cheque for GH¢1,000.00 and some of its souvenirs to the Oguaa Traditional Council in support of the celebration of the festival. The souvenirs include 500 branded 'T' shirts, caps and fans and 10 cartons of Vodafone branded bottled water in addition to two cartons of schnapps.
Mr. Collins Kyei Boafo, the Corporate Communications Manager in charge of Central Region who made the presentation, said a sponsorship package of GH¢15,000.00 had been earmarked for the festival. He said the company would sponsor a street jam, state dance and other entertainment activities and assured the traditional council of its continued assistance to help foster closer collaboration between the two bodies.
Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, Oguaamanhen who received the items, thanked Vodafone for its numerous support for the council and expressed the hope that the relationship between them would continue to grow. 01 Sept 09
