Kumawood actor Kofi Adu popularly called ‘Agya Koo’ has stated that Ghanaian youth are suffering from high blood pressure due to mismanagement of the economy by the Mahama led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

The award-winning actor and comedian observed that the youth are burdened with economic hardships due to government’s failure to solve pertaining issues bedeviling the nation.

Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, the talented actor said economic hardship is sending the youth to their early graves.

The actor, who endorsed the Flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwaa Akufo-Addo during a press conference in Kumasi, wondered why nothing is done by government to solve the ailing economy.

According to Agya Koo, some of the youth also resorted to stealing from their parents just to travel to Dubai and Kuwait to make ends meet.

‘Years back, businessmen and women were able to travel to Hongkong, Thailand and other countries to transact businesses, they were able to import goods with their own money, nobody was dependent on the other, but all of these ceased when President Mahama took over, youth are now suffering from high blood pressure due to hardship that has crippled the nation.

He said for five years now, he has not been working due to bad economy.

‘I used to help the needy but I can’t anymore, because I'm not making much money, we are suffering from taxes, some of the producers have sold all their properties, we are all suffering,’ he stated.

He said he and his team of other movie makers will be canvassing for votes in the hinterlands for the NPP’s Flagbearer.
