Controversial TV and radio presenter Afia Schwarzenegger cannot easily forget the adversity she faced when she was the wife of her ex-husband, Lawrence Abrokwa.
The comedienne real name Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa at the launch of her Leave2Live Foundation on Val’s Day made fresh allegations against Mr. Abrokwa. According to Afia who turned 35 on February 14 this year, her ex-husband tried to burn her house on three occasions with gas.
She claimed that he threatened to set fire in the house she, Afia Schwarzenegger hustled to buy with her hard-earned money.
The outspoken media personality sharing her agony as a domestic violence victim noted that she earlier thought things could change when her ex-husband started raising his hand on her but the abuse got worse as days went by.
The mother of three further advised her fellow women suffering in marriages due to ill-treatment to walk away because it will never change.
Afia Schwarzenegger‘s Leave2Live Foundation launched on February 14, 2018, is a Non-Governmental Organisation established to campaign against domestic violence.
