Derrick Sasraku is facing suspension
Aduana Stars coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has confirmed the suspension of striker Derrick Sasraku following acts of indiscipline during a training session.
Prior to the Fire Club's game against AS Vita Club in the Caf Confederation Cup on Wednesday, reports suggested that the Japanese coach had expelled the striker from camp following a training ground bust-up with assistant coach Tandoh.
It was earlier reported that Sasraku, who had a fight with teammate Elvis Opoku four months ago, had threatened to descend on the assistant coach following a brief altercation.
Although, the club's communication director Evans Oppong initially denied the incident, Kenichi believes his decision to suspend the striker was the best option.
"On Derrick Sasraku's issue, I have suspended him and that decision is for a reason," Kenichi told Kumasi-based Silver FM.
"I think there's nothing more that I can say about him for now. As a coach, I think there's no certain rules I have set for players in any team that I have managed but I just provide an example for being a disciplined and hard working coach," he added.
According to Goal's sources, Sasraku is likely to be slapped with an indefinite ban and will forfeit at least three months salary.
