Tiger Eye PI has insisted that recent media interviews granted by Anas Aremeyaw Anas aren’t in any way deliberately planned to respond to an exposé aired to uncover the unethical practices he indulges in.

They assert that some of the interviews were shot and edited weeks ago and dates for airing agreed upon whiles date for the live interviews were scheduled ahead of them.

The investigative Journalist has come under attack on social media after some people suggested his interviews were planned to react to accusations by leading member of the NPP and Assin Central MP, Kennedy Adjapong.

Kennedy Agyapong who owns Ken City Media has for some time now alleged that Anas Aremeyaw Anas is dubious and corrupt adding that he requests for bribes to kill aspects of his investigations.

On Wednesday June 27, 2018, Kennedy Agyapong aired a piece titled ‘Who watches the watchman’ in an attempt to provide visual evidence of his claims.

The seeming coincidence of the Kennedy Agyapong exposé and Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ interviews on TV3 on Wednesday June 27, 2018, JoyFM and StarrFM on Thursday 28th June, 2018 led to many to question the rationale behind the timing of the interviews.

But a member of the Tiger Eye PI team has in a post on his Facebook wall, attempted clarifying the issues and give an insight from their perspective.

Sammy Darko admitted that though “the optics appear like an arranged interview for today, but it is not. These are planned months before the day Anas goes live with the three stations above.”

Below is the full statement

As a tradition, Tiger Eye's CEO, Anas Aremeyaw Anas speaks live to these stations..Joy FM, Citi FM and Starr FM about the investigative work after the documentary has been shown to the public. Today Anas was able to do Joy and Starr. of course these stations will want to ask questions about who watches the watchman. It is only fair that he responds (1) to the question and (2) to concerns of some Ghanaians who appear confused.

Tomorrow( Friday) will be the turn of Citi FM which will be the watershed.

The optics appear like an arranged interview for today but it is not. These are planned months before the day Anas goes live with the three stations above.
