Former Municipal Chief Executive of Ejisu, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh, has asked President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to pay contractors to enable them fix the bad roads in the Ashanti Region.
He told Chief Jerry Forson on Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5FM Friday, 10 August that: “The roads in the region are bad. The contractors cannot be blamed, it is the president we should be blaming”
“He should pay the contractors to ensure that they also complete the projects,” he added.
President Akufo-Addo is expected to commence a five-day working tour of the region today, Friday, 10 August 2018.
He will undertake a number of activities including a visit to the Manhyia palace to pay a courtesy call on Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The tour comes on the heels of the president’s recent tour of the three regions up north, having earlier visited the Brong Ahafo, Volta and Western regions.
