The Public Relations Officer of the Ayew family, Fiifi Tackie has rubbished suggestions that the Ayew brothers faked an injury to avoid playing the national team.

It will be recalled that the pair refused to join their teammates for the return encounter in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification after the Black Stars were held at home by Congo Brazzaville in the first leg match.

Since then, head coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah has not recalled the Ayew brothers back to the national team.

Ahead of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers against Kenya, the Swansea City loanees were snubbed by Kwesi Appiah.

However, the spokesperson for the Ayew’s has rubbished such claims but accused Kwesi Appiah of not helping to resolve issues.

“Andre and Jordan never faked an injury to avoid playing for Black Stars and Kwesi Appian as a coach is not managing issues well,” he told Atinka FM.

“Kwesi Appiah is a coach and not a manager.

“We are not fighting Kwesi Appiah but what we’re contending is the notion that Ayew brothers not been committed to Black Stars.

“A lot of Kwesi Appiah’s remarks after the Ayews exclusion are purely insinuations. He cast insinuations at the players and we know,” he added.
