Head Coach of Ashantigold C.K Akonnor says his side were tactically better than Hearts as they beat the Phobians 3-1 at home in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
The miners were rampant against the Ghanaian giants, beating them at the adopted home grounds on match Day 2.
James Akaminko and Amos Addai scored for the miners before Joseph Esso halved the deficit, but with a minute to end the game, Shafiu Mumuni added the third to silence the home crowd.
"Tactically we were better and much disciplined. We knew exactly what we had to do to win this game and I think we did it well, we made them suffer to see the ball," Akunnor said after the game.
"I told the boys to keep the ball and they heeded my instruction which made things difficult for Hearts of oak. We fully deserved the three points because we were better on the day."
"Well....we're taken it match after match, so our focus now is on our next game" he ended.
Ashantigold will next face Inter Allies at home in the matchday 3 of the Ghana Premier League.
