Some regions in the country have started receiving ballot papers for the parliamentary contest in the December 7 elections.
Ultimatefmonline.com can exclusively report that the Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions received their ballot papers along with other logistics.
The Electoral Commission (EC) earlier this week hinted it will be deploying materials across the regions ahead of the polls
The deployment by the Electoral Commission follows a successful balloting of positions of parliamentary candidates by the contesting parties which has not been affected by the many suits filed against the EC.
According to the EC, it is battle-ready for this year’s elections as it indicating that procurement of materials needed for smooth conduct of the polls have already been done.
“The commission has secured about 98 per cent of offshore items to be deployed, especially, at polling stations. Some of the materials have already been dispatched to the regions”, EC Chair Madam Charlotte Osei revealed.
“We have also been busy preparing the Biometric Verification Machines by keying in the Voter’s Register”,she added.
