Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Kwasi Nyantakyi says it is unfair to compare the domestic league to the English Premier League (EPL).
The FA chief said in a press briefing on Tuesday that an attempt to do so could be likened to comparing light and darkness taking into account how far the Premier League has come.
Notwithstanding the sharp contrast between the two leagues, Nyantakyi indicated that his outfit has rolled out innovations to ensure the local league assumes a shift in the coming seasons.
“…We shouldn’t compare our league to the EPL; it’s like comparing Bongo and Bill Gates. But we will get there. We are putting more measures in place to improve our league.
“I am in talks with the Ministry to ensure clubs who play in Africa get some financial support from government. The introduction of a media coordinating centre, fast track of our judicial system and match report are all measures to better our league.”
The EPL is considered as the best and most competitive on the globe currently.
