A 32-year-old Kia truck driver, Isaac Inkoom and his mate are in very critical condition after their truck with registration number GW 108-14 somersaulted into a river at Ajumako Ocheso in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District of the Central Region.
Some eyewitness in an interview with Kasapa FM News' Yaw Boagyan explained that the truck which was loaded with sand moving at top speed was coming from Ajumako Bibianiha and upon reaching Ajumako Ocheso bridge which is located along a sharp curve hit the bridge and somersaulted into the river.
The incident which happened Saturday dawn around 3:45 am left the Driver and Mate trapped in the vehicle till people went to the scene around 8:00 am before they were taken out.
The injured were sent to Ajumako Baa hospital for treatment.
According to the eyewitness, the driver and his mate are not strangers on the road and he believes the crash occurred as of over speeding.
