Two years into the Akufo-Addo led administration, many have diverse opinions about the supply of electricity as far as power fluctuations are concerned.

Sharing her view on this issue popular television goddess Yvonne Nelson in an interview on Hitz Fm, gave reasons why she has apparently gone silent these months passed.

She told the host of ‘Daybreak Hitz’ Andy Dosty that comparing power cuts in the former president of Ghana John Mahama and the incumbent government, there is fairly some level of improvement.

According to Yvonne Nelson, the ‘dumsor’ a local term meaning ‘light on, light off’ was very intense during the era of John Dramani Mahama than what she is going through now.

Yvonne Nelson in this regard explained why she drew herself into a subtle leave on protesting against fluctuating power supply in Ghana.

“I still started the same thing I started when we were having the dumsor problem during Mahama’s time. I was on twitter, tweeting about it. I didn’t hit the street because it is not serious or intense now like Mahama’s time. Let’s stop pretending and be truthful…People were dying at hospitals during the NDC time…It was crazy, we will go on set and use generators to shoot…people were shutting down their businesses. I started the hashtags but it didn’t get the attention from people,” she stated.

In 2016, Yvonne Nelson and a host of entertainers joined her in her campaign against Dumsor where she was rumoured to be influenced by the NPP government to make that move.
