The Electoral Commission (EC) has started interviewing applicants who applied to work as temporary Presiding officers during this year’s elections.
Speaking in an interview with Kasapa News’ Akwasi Nsiah, the Communications Director at the Commission, Eric Kofi Dzakpasu indicated that they are still receiving applications from the public to perform other electoral roles.
He encouraged the public to visit the Commission’s website to file their application.
Mr. Dzakpasu also refuted claims that the Commission is mischievously working against a political party ahead of December polls.
He said the Commission is not doing the bidding of any political party at the detriment of another, assuring to stay neutral throughout the elections.
According to him, there is no way the Commission through the transfer of votes would rig the elections in favour of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
