Joseph Yamin, former Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports has rated Felix Annan over Richard Ofori as he indicates that he would prefer the home-based goalkeeper to man the post for the Black Stars ahead of the Maritzburg player.
The Asante Kotoko captain is one of the 3 goalkeepers who have been earning call-ups to the Ghana national team in the last few years.
Though his quality is undoubtedly there, Felix Annan has always been in the shadows of Richard Ofori and Lawrence Ati-Zigi when the national team go for a tournament or play qualifiers.
In an interview on Bryt FM, Joseph Yamin has bemoaned why Annan has not been given chances with the Black Stars as he stresses that he would bench Richard Ofori if he was in charge of the team.
“I don't know why Felix Annan is always on the bench for the Black Stars during a tournament. If I were to be the coach, I will put him ahead of Richard Ofori”, he said.
Felix Annan was part of the Black Stars team that went to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament but never got the opportunity to man the post.
