Kumasi Asante Kotoko have thrown their weight behind George Afriyie who is vying to become the president of the Ghana Football Association.
The Chief Executive Officer of Kotoko, George Amoako insists the Reds are given their support to Afriyie as they believe he can change the dwindling fortunes of Ghana football.
“We (Kotoko) are backing George Afriyie to become the president of the Ghana Football Association.” Amoako told the Press after Agriyie’s manifesto launch in Sunyani.
“He is one of the best we have in Ghana now and we are given him all the support to lead our football and bring it to the highest level.”
The Ghana Football Association elections is scheduled for October 25, 2019.
