GFA Presidential hopeful, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku says he is unperturbed by the prospect of facing the vetting committee.

The dreaded ‘integrity test’ which will be conducted on all aspirant has the potential to play a crucial role ahead of next month’s elections.

The Elections Committee are expected to scrutinise and verify some documents submitted by the nominees during the nominations relating to their eligibility.

Per the new GFA Statutes 2019, in order to be eligible for the GFA Presidency or Executive Committee, one must be a Ghanaian, must be a person of high moral integrity and must not have been convicted of an offence involving fraud, dishonesty or moral turpitude.

Speaking in an interview with Angel FM, the Dreams FC capo addressed the claim he could have a challenge with the integrity test for allegedly overseeing player documentation forgery, which led to his club’s demotion from the Premier League after the 2016/17 season.

“I’m waiting for the GFA Vetting Committee. I’ll be the first to face them. There’s nothing wrong with my candidature that can disqualify me. If you’re a lawyer, this issue (of Daniel Gozar/Cudjoe Mensah is a complete bollocks. No lawyer will refer to this to this (to disqualify a candidate). I’m not sure it will even come up at the vetting”

His latest comments are in line with the tenets of his ‘Game changing’ manifesto which duly states that transparency and accountability will be the bedrock of his administration when elected into office.

Vetting of all aspirants will run between September 26-October 1 with the Presidential elections slated for October 25.
