Ebony’s one-week memorial service which was organized at St Martin de Porres School in Dansoman, Accra on Sunday February 18) gave us a glimpse of the love Ghanaians have for the late music star.

Several Ghanaian celebs were there to offer glowing tribute to the late musician. Of course Shatta Wale was also there and when it was his turn to address the thousands of mourners and sympathizers, he caused a brief drama, predictably.

The Freedom hitmaker invoked God’s wrath against all those who criticized the late Dancehall artiste when she was alive.

But in an apparent show of remorse, Shatta Wale has asked for forgiveness whilst admitting that he was overwhelmed by his emotions.

Speaking to Prince Tsegah on Hitz FM, Shatta Wale apologized by saying: ”Because of people like you [Prince Tsegah] I will apologize. I will also apologise to some of them who felt hurt by what I said” However, Shatta Wale urged critics to criticize constructively devoid of hurting the feelings of other people.

He used Ebony as an example stating that critics bashed her on a daily basis just because of a brand she chose for herself.

”Some people always bashed Ebony and even made fun out of it. You can criticise but don’t make fun out of it. Don’t criticise us too much”.
