Kofi Aryetey retained as Okere NDC chairman

Eric William Kofi Aryetey polled 430 votes to beat his challenger Douglas Adjei who polled 123 to retain his position as the Chairman of the Okere Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) at a Constituency Elections organized at Mile 14 near Okrakwadwo at the weekend.

Samuel Ansah Ayeh polled 280 votes to win the vice-chairmanship position after defeating Jonas Oku who polled 273.

Ransford Daniel Yeboah polled 339 to beat Opei Nyarko who polled 223 votes to win the position of a Constituency Treasurer.

Mohammed Haruna Ayuba polled 334 votes to defeat his challenger, Kurrieond Godfred Dery who polled 217 to be the Constituency Secretary.

Nineteen other executive members were elected to occupy other executive positions in the Constituency.

In a victory speech, Mr Aryetey, the Constituency Chairman called on all the newly elected executives of the Party to promote peace in their families, communities, and workplace and wherever they find themselves.

He explained that it is only in a peaceful environment that the NDC could better market itself to the people of Ghana to be voted back to power.

Mr Aryetey commended the women who courageously filled nomination to contest various positions in the Party and urged all of them who lost the elections not to be discouraged but to use the same courage to support the Party to win the 2020 elections.

He assured the women who lost the elections that the NDC has a lot of space to accommodate them to work for the victory of the Party.

Mr Aryetey thanked the delegate for the faith they have in him.

Mr Ransford Owusu Boakye, the Eastern Regional Organizer of the NDC who supervised the election and sworn in the newly elected executives, reminded them that the victory of the NDC in 2020 depended on their efforts and hard work.

He charged the Constituency Chairman to find a way of engaging all those who lost the elections in the Party activities.

Mr George Opare –Addo, former Akuapem North Municipal Chief Executive, thanked the delegates and the contestant for comporting themselves which enabled the Party to have a peaceful elections.

He reminded the newly elected executives of their responsibility to work hard to ensure the victory of NDC in 2020.

Mr Opare-Addo said Ghanaians were complaining all over and were waiting to vote NDC back to power in 2020 but that depend on their hard work.
