The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has denied claims that the free SHS policy will be scrapped when they come back to power.
They insist the former President has never opposed the policy since its implementation.
Member of Parliament for Odododiodio constituency, Nii Lante Vanderpuye speaking on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ said: “Akufo-Addo should tell us where we said we will cancel the free SHS policy. We said we will review it…you can’t put the cart before the horse that was why we were saying there should be infrastructure…we said we will review the way the NPP is implementing the free SHS to make it more functional to benefit all”
This comment follows President Akufo-Addo recent comment on the Free SHS policy.
The President while addressing staff and students of the Bolgatanga SHS, said: "this policy has come to stay. I know that there are people in this country who don't want this policy, who have been campaigning against this policy and they are dreaming that they are going to come back to power to cancel the policy"
