Hearts of Oak must put their fragile form behind them if they are to overcome another fairly weak side, Bechem United at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday on match day nine of Ghana Premier League.

A win for Hearts will be good for the confidence of not just their players but also their fans most of who were disappointed following their embarrassing 3-1 away loss to Karela United in midweek.

Hearts Head Coach Henry Wellington was indisposed thus couldn’t join the team for the game. His assistant, Edward Odoom however couldn’t hold the fort losing by a margin many termed as humiliating. It’s not clear if Henry Wellington will be back on the bench.

If he returns his presence could be helpful but if he doesn’t, Edward Odoom must be convincing to get the Phobians on a winning path especially ahead of the Super Clash in Kumasi on match day 10.

Being 8th on the league table, just a step above Hearts of Oak, Bechem United have themselves not been too impressive. They have won three, drawn two and lost three after eight match days.

Bechem United have 11 points while Hearts of Oak have 10 points. That’s so close. As a result, this is a game that will improve the lot of whoever wins. For now, with on the evidence of the records provided, it’s appropriate to describe the Bechem United-Hearts of Oak clash as a battle of equals.
