May God keep Agyarko – Kufuor mourns late Ayawaso West Wuogon MP
Former President John Agyekum Kufour has expressed shock at the passing of Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko.
Describing the late MP as humble, warm and down-to-earth politician, the former President said his wife are shattered over the demise of a person he described as a family.
According to him, it hurts to hear such a fine gentleman who engages everyone he meets will die.
“Emmanuel Agyarko is like a family member to us. His father was a good friend and I can say that he took his father’s positive behavior. I have been shattered ever since we heard the news. I can only ask God to forgive him for his sins and keep him in his bosom,” he said in an interview on Accra based Okay FM monitored by Adomonline.com.
Mr. Agyarko passed on at a US hospital on Wednesday where he had been seeking medical care after over an undisclosed medical condition.
Former President Kuffuor believes though it is appointed for every human to die one day, he never thought of Mr. Agyarko’s sudden death.
“We are all waiting for our turn. I mean we will die one day but I never expected the sudden death of my brother. If death can be cured, I bet you, we would have taken some cure to avoid it,” he added.
