Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has rightly come out to “clear the air” after a photo of him together with Frederick Amanor Skalla [the policeman captured in the viral video assaulting a lady at the banking hall of Midland Savings and Loans] emerged on social media.
In response, Dumelo said that he is a friend to everyone but it doesn’t imply that he is supportive of any man beating up a lady irrespective of the lady’s transgressions.
In his words to the fan who posted the picture, Dumelo stated “Bro, this picture must have been taken ages ago.
But the policeman is a coward for doing what he did. Under no circumstance should he have physically abused that woman. I’m a friend to everyone and hence I do take pictures when asked.
It’s unfortunate the assault incident happened but I believe the Police service will deal accordingly with the policeman.
Men who beat women are cowards, let alone a man assigned to protect us. God bless Ghana”.
