The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has declared a 21-day fasting and prayers for its members across the country, beginning this Wednesday, November 16 to Wednesday, December 7 (the election day).

The programme, dubbed ‘The Battle Is The Lord’s: Declaration Towards Victory and Peace of Ghana,’ would commence with a candlelight vigil and prayer service at the Koforidua Jackson Park in the Eastern Region, after which the party would be holding daily night prayers in all its offices in the region and throughout the country.

“We have completed all the arrangements and several pastors from the Eastern Region would be joining us on Wednesday night at the Jackson Park.

Several gospel musicians would be joining us and Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah of the Glorious Word Ministry would come all over from Accra to officiate the prayer service.

Fortunately , Nana Addo himself would be joining us on Wednesday to pray and fast with us and we are inviting all peace-loving Ghanaians to join us in Koforidua this Wednesday for the event,” coordinator of the event, Jeff Konadu, told DAILY GUIDE.

The event is being put together by the Eastern Regional branch of the NPP.

“We are doing our part as humans and it is our solid belief that Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP shall win the December 7 polls; but we believe in God and it is important to pray to God. Indeed, we are very proud that we would be embarking on this physical exercise that has spiritual implications,” Jeff Konadu added.
