“The president’s name was mentioned in the video, the name of the vice was also mentioned. Some other government officials were also mentioned, and, so, how can the CID do a good job”, he told on AccraFM on Thursday, 7 June.

“The CID boss herself said she was put there to do the job for the NPP, and, so, to the extent that she continues to remain there, no proper investigations will be conducted into this matter,” he added.

In the video, Mr Nyantakyi tells a supposed investor (Tiger Eye reporter): “There is a man called Kennedy Agyapong. He is an MP. He is one of the biggest financiers of the NPP. He is very loud. He owns OMAN FM and NET2 TV. He is criticising the government, his own government, yes. He wants to control everything.”

Kwesi Nyantaky continued that: “… Because of the [money] he [Kennedy Agyapong] put into the campaign, nobody can call him to order. They will be begging him when he is insulting them. So, Karbo was saying that after the President and the Vice-President, we should involve him.”
