Old man Dunaky3! – Kapito gets it from social media users after Amihere ‘butt’ comment

Sexual harassment from men on females; students, workers, etc. has emerged in the past few weeks and a seeming wrong move from Chief Executive Officer of the Consumer Rights Protection Agency, Kofi Kapito has earned him the attention of twitter users, and not in a good light.

Kofi Kapito who had been called to present an award at the 2019 Radio/Television Personality Awards, held at the Accra International Conference Centre, Saturday, stood behind the microphone, greeted the audience, spotted the journalist who was seated in the crowd, looked into her eyes and said, “Ey, Serwaa Amihere. Look at your butts. Nice!”

The GHOne TV Presenter didn’t hesitate hours after the comments, to take to her twitter page and speak her mind. Aside deeming it a sexually offensive statement, she is even more peeved at the fact that it was done on a public platform and it came from a personality who is deemed ‘respectable’ in society.

“I had so much respect for Mr Kofi Kapito. This is a classic case of sexual harassment. I’m appalled by his utterances. This was needless and completely disrespectful!” her tweet read.

So what has Serwaa’s backside got to do with what Kofi kapito was asked to do? A learned person like him should not have passed those comments. He ought to have known better. This is unacceptable. Virtually everything we do in Ghana is one way or the other being marred by ‘SEX’.
