One killed, 4 seriously injured as taxi crashes into mobile phone shop

One person has been killed whiles several others are currently nursing various degrees of injuries after a gory accident at Fafraha in the Adenta Municipality of the Greeter Accra when a taxi crashed into a mobile phone shop.

MyNewsGh.com gathered that boy believed to be 7-years-old had met his untimely death when a speeding taxi with the registration member GS 3266 – 17 crashed into a repairing shop

The accident which occurred on Saturday night at Alhaji-Fafraha right opposite Survive School Complex, saw the Taxi enter a mobile phones and laptops repairing shop named “IT GURU” sited at the roadside, crashed the boy who was said to be with his relative in the shop to death and left four other occupants of the shop with various degrees of injuries.

Hafiz Larry, an eyewitness who spoke to MyNewsGh.com’s Divine Mensah Vadze alleged the taxi driver was drunk and also was not a qualified driver

According to him, the owner of the car who was the real driver died so they were observing one week of his departure through which everybody had access to the vehicle. Though he did not know driving, he took his turn, picked two other passengers and drove just at a short distance with speed thereby involving in the accident.

“The driver was drunk. According to information, he wasn’t a driver but it was the driver who passed on and they were celebrating the driver’s one week so everybody was allowed to use the car just like that”

The victims were rushed to hospital and the body of the deceased who was crushed beyond recognition conveyed to the mortuary.

According to some eyewitnesses who know the deceased, he is a pupil of Faithway Christian Academy at Adenta Fafraha.
