Despite being divorced for several years, people still refer to her as ‘Mama Francisca Duncan-Williams’ ex-wife of the Archbishop has said.
The woman of God who was speaking in an interview with ZionFelix during her 60th birthday celebration said all attempts to stop people from calling her by her former husband’s name have proved futile and as such, she does not think people will ever stop identifying her by that name.
“I usually call myself Mama Francisca, but people will not let the Duncan Williams go. I think that is the way they know me. It’s not anything wrong. I’m sure they call me that because it identifies me easily,” she stated.
She nonetheless added that it is within the confines of the law for people to use their former husband’s surname even after a divorce.
“Even if you are divorced, according to the law you can still use it,” she mentioned.
Founder of the Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, divorced his former wife, Mama Francisca back in 2006 after 26 years of marriage due to what he described as “irreconcilable differences.”
