The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Mrs Barbara Oteng Gyasi, has been endorsed as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency through popular acclamation for this year's general elections.
Mrs Gyasi was the only candidate from the Consistency who picked nomination forms to represent the Party in Parliament.
The Municipal Electoral Officer, Mr Joseph Ofori Prempeh, who supervised the exercise explained that there was the need for the acclamation of Mrs Gyasi by the delegates to show their approval of her candidature.
He introduced the Member of Parliament to the delegates and the public as the NPP parliamentary candidate for Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency.
Mrs Gyasi in her address entreated NPP supporters to preach the government policies and programmes to the citizenry for the Party to win massively in the upcoming election.
She expressed her appreciation to the delegates for the confidence reposed in her and called for unity in the Constituency.
Mrs Gyasi added that through hard work they can maintain the Prestea Huni-Valley Constituency seat and also win the presidential polls as well.
