Queen Mother applauds Akim West Assembly for efforts to halt COVID-19

According to her, the Assembly met and interacted with traders last month to ensure that they adhered to the President’s Directive on social distancing, but some of them disregarded the order.

She urged all traders in the markets to strictly comply with the protocols that were in place to protect themselves and others who patronage the markets from being infected with COVID-19.

The Assembly will have no choice but to close down the markets on consultation with the traditional Council if people failed to comply with the social distancing protocol to help protect them.
