The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu constituency Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has assured that members of the party will not abandon the President John Mahama as they wait patiently for the Electoral Commission (EC) to declare the results.
He added that they are solidly behind the President expressing hope that he will be declared winner for the 2016 elections.
Ablakwa indicated that supporters of the party have converged at the residence of the President at Cantonments to show solidarity.
‘I won 70% votes in North Tongu constituency Volta region, we had to suspend our celebration to come here to show our solidarity to President Mahama, we cannot abandon our leader,’ he said.
