Minister for Railway Development, Joe Ghartey has said the Akufo-Addo-led government has performed incredibly well in its first term in office than what the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by John Dramani Mahama did in eight years.
According to him, despite the bad economy inherited from the previous administration, things have been stabilized by his party.
“They [NDC] said we’ve done nothing, then the narrative changed when they saw us doing something. But ask them, for their eight years in power what have they done? There’s nothing to show of what they completed, from Apollo to Nkroful road, were they able to complete?”
“No, not even one lane of the road. From Effia Nkwanta to Fijai Hospital, were they able to complete a single lane? So, I ask, did ‘JUSTMOH’ experience any mechanical breakdown?”
“What about Asabea? The fact is that they didn’t pay them. It’s a question about money. The contractors were able to complete the project when we came, we paid them to get the road constructed,” he said.
Mr. Joe Ghartey stressed that the NPP will win the December 7 polls for being truthful to the electorates.
“We are going to win this election. We are not going to win because we are wonderful, we are not going to win because of anything but for speaking the truth and the truth will set us free,” he said.
