San Pedro will play Kotoko in the Confed Cup playoff
General Manager of Ivorian side San Pedro Fc Abi Haidem says they were petrified when paired with Asante Kotoko considering they are a small team in Ivory Coast who are aspiring for bigger things.
But he goes on to add that in football everything is possible so will not write off the chances of his side as they come face to face with African giants Asante Kotoko.
"We had a little bit of fear when we saw we have been drawn with Asante Kotoko checking their clout in African football. We are a small club but everything is possible in football."
Speaking in an interview with Light Fm, he says they are an ambitious club who are very hopeful of beating Asante Kotoko as the second leg will be played in Ivory Coast.
"Our (FC San Pedro) ambition is to climb this round to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
We know Asante Kotoko is a big club in Africa with so much experience and pedigree but we are coming to beat them."
"The second leg fixture of our game against Kotoko will be played in Abidjan not San Pedro." he added.
