Wolverhampton Wanderers have released versatile Dutch-born Ghanaian midfielder and wing-back Jed Abbey after a decade at the club.

Abbey, 18, joined the English side as a trainee in 2010, progressing through to the club's developmental squad.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian teen featured prominently for the side's Under-18 team, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 17 appearances.

However, the versatile youngster has been forced to look elsewhere as it becomes increasingly clear he will struggle for senior team appearance.

The youngster will not be short of offers with both West Brom and Swansea believed to be interested.

Abbey is eligible to present three countries - Ghana, Netherlands, and England at the international level.

He was born to Ghanaian parents in the Dutch City of Den Haag but grew up in England.
