but Never on both - Insha Allah! The resolute determination by the most corruptible government in the annals of Ghana's political administration to free that crook and swindler, Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome, has once again manifested. On Tuesday, 5th April 2012, the case involving Alfred Agbesi Woyome and three other accomplices charged with defrauding Ghana to the tune of over GHC51 Million was scheduled for trial at the Financial Division of the Fast Track High Court in Accra chaired by Justice John Ajet-Nasam.
Surprisingly when the case was called for hearing, the Chief State Attorney, Cynthia Lamptey, filed for nolle prosequi, (an entry made upon the records of a court when the plaintiff or prosecutor will proceed no further in a suit or action) declaring the State was no longer interested in prosecuting Woyome and his three accomplices. Barely had Woyome and his three accomplices decided to punch the air in jubilation and saunter out of court when they were re-arrested and charged with defrauding Ghana and causing financial loss to the State. The police could not allow Woyome enough time to laugh on both cheeks. His face became frozen with smile in one cheek.
How could the Attorney General through the State prosecutors behave that irresponsibly after all the months of incessant adjournment requests by the State prosecutors? If they knew they could not prosecute "Ali Baba" Woyome and his "forty thieves" - Chief State Attorney, Mr Nerquaye-Tettey; his wife, Gifty Tetteh-Nerquaye and Mr Asimenu, why did they waste State resources through numerous scheduled but adjourned court sittings? Upon all the months, they continually requested and the Court did grant they could not come up with anything sensible but crass display of incompetence, betrayal of public confidence and breach of trust in the Attorney General Department.
Anyway, from the horse's (Woyome's) own mouth, in confirmation of available documentary evidence, he had no contract, and did not sign any contract with the government of Ghana to warrant that gargantuan (GHC51 Million) judgment debt payment to him. What more evidence did the Attorney General's Department need to successfully prosecute, retrieve the stolen money, and then incarcerates the Ghana's version of the Arabian Ali Baba and his fort thieves – Woyome and the three accomplices?
For all that I know is that President "Wayo" Mills and his dubious Team C, (I have demoted them for poor performance) government are tirelessly working behind closed doors to shield Woyome from possible conviction. The NDC or some of the NDC government appointees or gurus have probably benefitted from Woyome's fraud inflicted on Mother "Ama" Ghana hence this deplorable attitude in display by the Attorney General's Department. Ghanaians are too old and too smart for President Mills and his confused NDC government and party to take us for granted.
I entreat all reasonable Ghanaians, especially the floating voters to vote NPP and Nana Akuffo-Addo to power if we really would have any hope of retrieving the swindled money from Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome and his known and unknown accomplices.
Please join my VENUS movement if, and only if, you desire to end the disgusting administration by President Mills and his incompetent corruptible government appointees. No matter how far Alfred Agbesi Woyome goes, no matter how long he cries, no matter how he keeps faith in NDC to exonerate him of blame, he will be obliged to refund the money. The earlier he refunds the money by ceasing to wallow in any false hope of escaping scot free from his historic thievery inflicted on Ghana much better it is for him.
