Birth certs normally have names of parents and Most countries accept that when at least one parent is a citizen the child becomes a citizen. Is it different in Ogyakrom?

Many non-Ghanaians have these birth certificates. Hence the SC decision. In South Africa non-citizens are not issued birth certs for their children. But in Ghana it is easy to get birth cert.

The Supreme Court of Ghana has ruled that henceforth men can now become pregnant. In a unanimous decision the apex court ruled that having no womb does not guarantee that men cannot and should not be pregnant.

I am aware that there portions of the Birth Certificate that ask for both parents's names and their nationalities. Isn't that suppose to ascertain the nationality of the holder of the document?

Being born in the UK to foreign parents who are not UK citizens or permanent residence holders does not make you a UK citizen. Thank you SC justices for teaching these NDC lawyers simple legal logic.

We should be a tough country
Passport is actually a real identity card, birth certificate can be tricky. Ghana must let those who want to be citizens write exam on life in Ghana before they allow them to become citizens.
